A fresh method of movement centered on purist ideals and principles of form, movement, and alignment; for the lovers of Mat Pilates, Yoga, and Barre.

Our daily lifestyle practice is centered on the power of control and release to help regulate the nervous system with physical strength, mental connection, and emotional clarity. Our regime provides balance through intense isometric conditioning, focused breathwork, dynamic stretching,   and fascia-lengthening created by the stretching practices of a dancer. Inspired by The Lotte Berk Method (created by Lydia Bach in 1971) and The 1960s Orginal Class (created by Lotte Berk), our method was created by bay wreath co.™ founder & CEO Erika Baker and has been shared with our community since 2017.

  • Clients master and utilize intense isolations to create a strong & beautiful physique. Through an intense, yet modifiable workout, clients are guided in a regimen that sculpts & changes postural muscles, to create connection and strength with an optimal focus centered on its combination of intense isometric movements, alignment, and fascia release. Our whole body workout challenges and transforms the most key muscle groups: legs, thighs, seat, back, arms & core— until muscle failure (shaking), where they reach full fatigue, always followed by elongation and deep stretching to shape the muscles & fascia when most pliable, and deep intuitive body connection, with a promise of no plateau. All exercises are truly low impact, easy on the joints, and dramatically improve the body in incredible time! You will feel strong, powerful, awake, and alive!

METHOD OFFERINGS

  • A 60-minute non-heated class: Our “purist class”, our most essential practice, and the base of our method offerings.

    • Utilize intense isolations to create a strong & beautiful physique through an intense yet modifiable workout.

    • Clients are guided in a regimen that sculpts and changes postural muscles to create connection and strength. The optimal focus is centered on the combination of intense isometric movements, alignment, and fascia release.

    • Experience our whole body workout that challenges and transforms the most key muscle groups: legs, thighs, seat, back, arms & core— until muscle failure (shaking), where they reach full fatigue, always followed by elongation and deep stretching to shape the muscles & fascia when most pliable.

    • Practice: Isometrics, fascia release, breath work, mobility work, stationary cardio, and deep body connection.

    • Levels: Modifiable for all fitness levels. Though the pace is quick, everyone is welcome.

    • Expectations: Beginning to feel comfortable takes about 8-10 classes.

  • A 45-minute non-heated class: An abbreviated version of our “purist class.”

    • Utilize intense isolations to create a strong & beautiful physique through an intense yet modifiable workout (for all fitness levels).

    • Clients are guided in a regimen that sculpts & changes postural muscles to create connection and strength with an optimal focus centered on its combination of intense isometric movements, alignment, and fascia release.

    • Experience our whole-body workout that challenges and transforms the most key muscle groups: legs, thighs, seat, back, arms, and core—until muscle failure (shaking), where they reach full fatigue. Always following is an abbreviated version of elongation and deep stretching to shape the muscles and fascia when most pliable.

    • Practice: Isometrics, fascia release, breath work, mobility work, stationary cardio, and deep body connection.

    • Levels: Modifiable for all fitness levels. Though the pace is quick, everyone is welcome.

    • Expectations: Beginning to feel comfortable takes about 8-10 classes.

  • A 45-60 minute class in a warm room gently heated between 75-85 degrees: Our “purist” class with a sweaty twist.

    • Detoxify the body, further boost metabolism, enhance pliability for deep fascia release, increase mobility, and improve flexibility.

    • Additional Benefits: Increased blood flow, physical adaptations, fast physical gains, and psychological benefits.

    • Practice: Isometrics, fascia release, breath work, mobility work, stationary cardio, and deep body connection.

    • Levels: Modifiable for all fitness levels. Though the pace is quick, everyone is welcome.

    • Expectations: Beginning to feel comfortable takes about 8-10 classes. Note* that some individuals may be sensitive to heat.

  • A 45-minute class in a warm room gently heated between 75-85 degrees: The surest way to grasp our isometric method and the “purist” class it is a class that “transcends levels.

    • Meeting clients in a NEW place — with true refinement in mind. A blend of intensity and simplicity to benefit both the newcomer and seasoned vet alike.

    • A full-body focus with a slower, smoother pace and softer music. The pace of this class will challenge the advanced or veteran clients’ sense of isometric strength while serving a beginner in understanding and control.

    • Additional Benefits: Increased blood flow, physical adaptations, fast physical gains, and psychological benefits.

    • Practice: Isometric principles, fascia release, breath work, mobility work, stationary cardio, and deep body connection.

    • Levels: For all levels. Recommended for first-time clients and ongoing weekly practice for veteran clients in conjunction with purist & lengthen regime.

    • Expectations: Beginning to feel comfortable takes about 8-10 classes. Note* that some individuals may be sensitive to heat.

  • A 45 class in a warm room gently heated between 75-85 degrees: A unique/authentic fascia lengthening experience like nothing else.

    • For total body connection, deep fascia release and elongation, active recovery, alignment, and rehabilitation “like a dancer.”

    • It is created with the perfect blend of Dynamic, Active, Passive, and Static stretching techniques to move into your body’s flexibility, massage out tension, and make room/space for added mobility, flexibility, and overall lengthening.

    • Inspired by the stretching practices of a dancer and derived from the 30+ years of competitive and professional dance experience of founder and method creator Erika Baker.

    • Practice: Isometric stretching principles, fascia release, breath work, mobility work, and deep body connection.

    • Levels: For all levels.

    • Expectations: Beginning to feel comfortable takes about 8-10 classes. Note* that some individuals may be sensitive to heat.

  • A 75-minute full BODY breakdown that focuses on the fundamentals and foundations of the bay wreath BODY/method ™

    • For both the beginner (clients who have taken 1+ classes with us) and the advanced veteran (clients who have taken 50+ classes with us)

    • This class promises to help clients become truly rooted in their technique, understand our method and how it relates to their bodies, clarify our class format, and grasp exactly what muscle groups we focus on. Clients will leave class with a powerful sense of clarity, excitement, and support! We believe knowledge is power. We strive to empower all of our clients in true understanding and help them feel powerful and in control.

    • Practice: Isometric principles, fascia release, breath work, mobility work, stationary cardio, and deep body connection.

    • Levels: For all levels. Recommended for all clients who have taken at least 1 “purist” class with us and at least once a quarter for veteran clients.

    • Expectations: Hands-on, one-on-one support, Q&A, and community.

  • A 45-60 minute ballet class

    This class incorporates classical ballet and a fundamental focus on technique with both classical and contemporary music.

    Suitable for all levels: beginner to advanced.
